Terms of Use
Effective date: May 29, 2026 Last updated: May 29, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Tendlist ("Tendlist", "we", "us") that governs your use of the Tendlist app and website at tendlist.app (the "Service"). Please read them. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Who can use Tendlist
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.
Access is currently by invitation. We may add, limit, or change who can sign up at any time.
2. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens under your account.
- Use a strong, unique password. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.
- You're responsible for the content you enter into the Service.
3. Health disclaimer — please read
Tendlist is a personal organization and self-tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, health, or professional advice.
- The Cycle feature's phases and predictions are estimates based on the numbers you enter. They can be wrong, and they will be wrong if your real cycle differs from your typical pattern.
- Do not rely on Tendlist for contraception, for trying to conceive, or for any medical decision. It is not a fertility-awareness or birth-control method.
- The daily Coach messages are AI-generated suggestions for encouragement and motivation, not advice from a doctor, therapist, trainer, or other professional. They may be inaccurate or not right for your situation.
- Always talk to a qualified health professional about your health, your cycle, and any exercise or wellness routine. If you may have a medical emergency, seek emergency care.
You use the Service's health-related features at your own discretion and risk.
4. The Coach and AI-generated content
If you enable the Coach, an AI model generates a short daily message from a summary of your activity (see the Privacy Policy for what's shared). AI output can be inaccurate or unexpected — use your own judgment and don't treat it as professional advice. You can turn the Coach off at any time in Settings → Coaching.
5. Acceptable use
Please use the Service only for its intended, lawful purpose. You agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe anyone's rights while using the Service.
- Access, tamper with, or attack accounts, data, or systems that aren't yours, or try to get around the Service's access controls.
- Disrupt or overload the Service, or upload anything malicious or illegal.
We may suspend or limit access if we reasonably believe these Terms are being broken or to protect the Service or its users.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you put into Tendlist — your tasks, habits, movements, to-dos, coaching focus and goals, and cycle information. You grant us only the limited permission needed to host, store, process, and display that content so we can provide the Service to you (including sending the activity summary to the AI provider when you've enabled the Coach). We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't use it for advertising.
You're responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important to you. You can request a copy of your data — see the Privacy Policy.
7. Our content
The Service — its software, design, look and feel, and logos — belongs to us or our licensors. These Terms don't give you any rights to copy or redistribute it beyond using it normally.
8. Service availability and changes
We're continually developing Tendlist, and it's offered on an early, evolving basis. We may change, add, or remove features, or suspend or stop the Service, at any time. We'll try to give reasonable notice of major changes where we can, but we don't promise the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. Some features (such as scheduled daily messages and notifications) depend on third-party services and timing, and may be delayed or unavailable.
9. Third-party services
The Service runs on third-party providers (such as Supabase, Vercel, the AI provider, and your browser's push service). We're not responsible for those providers' own services, terms, or availability. Your use of the Service is also subject to their terms where applicable.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will meet your needs, be reliable, be accurate (including any cycle prediction or Coach message), or be free of errors or interruptions. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Tendlist and Kate McGee will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any reliance on cycle predictions or Coach messages. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim (which, for a free service, is zero) or USD $50.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
12. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms, if needed to protect the Service or other users, or if we stop offering the Service. When your account ends, your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as the disclaimers, limitation of liability, and content-ownership terms) will continue to apply.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in Arizona, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
15. General
- If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- Our not enforcing a term right away doesn't waive our right to enforce it later.
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
